Melba Restaurant
To tie in with this universally celebrated date, Melba has created a menu featuring dishes from every corner of the planet including Japan, India, Italy, China, France and Morocco to name just some.Renowned aphrodisiacs, oysters and chocolate feature on the menu as do premium ingredients such as crayfish, Alaskan king crab and Moreton Bay bugs as well as Melba's famous five spiced duck pancake and made to order goat's cheese and pesto ravioli with garlic prawns.
Tandoori swordfish, baked salmon in puff pastry, Tasmanian grass fed beef short ribs and sage and oregano marinated pork belly are examples of a few stand out dishes destined to impress even the most world weary diner.
The dessert buffet will be laden with asked for favourites such as Melba's namesake, Peach Melba and the restaurant's decadent strawberry chocolate fountain as well as innovative miniature desserts showcasing the talents of the hotel's pastry kitchen including pink chocolate choux pastry with praline and a torte made with smoked dark Valrhona chocolate.
Upon arrival guests can choose between a chocolate raspberry kiss cocktail or Crown lager and every Valentine's Day couple will be presented with a gift to take home.
Lunch 12.30pm until 4 pm, $150.00 per person
Early Dinner 5pm until 7.30pm, $150.00 per person
Late Dinner 8.30pm until 11pm, $175.00 per person
Window tables are available for an additional $25.00 per person and for an additional $30.00 per person, diners can elect to have a bottomless chocolate raspberry kiss cocktail or Crown lager.
