On 15th September, in Ha Noi, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with People's Committee of Tuyen Quang Province organized a press conference to introduce “The 5th art festival of Then singing and Tinh instrumental music of ethnic groups of Tay, Nung, Thai” in Tuyen Quang on 24th -26th September.
In the press conference, Deputy Minister Huynh Vinh Ai emphasized the festival is a chance to promote, introduce and preserve Then singing and Tinh instrumental music of Tay, Nung, Thai.
The festival attracts the attendance of 14 provinces (Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Lang Son, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Ha Giang, Bac Giang, Quang Ninh, Lao Cai, Son La, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Dak Nong and Dak Lak) with many exciting activities, such as performances of folk arts; Exhibition with theme “Then cultural heritage of Tay, Nung and Thai ethic groups”; International seminar “Preserving and developing the heritage values of Then singing in ethnic groups of Tay, Nung, Thai in Viet Nam”; The Northwest Agriculture and Trade Fair 2015…
Especially, in the evening of 26th September, at Nguyen Tat Thanh Square, Tuyen Quang Province will organize the program “The Night of Tuyen Quang City Festival 2015” with the parade of hundreds of lanterns through the streets. The Viet Nam Guinness Organization recognized the festival of Tuyen Quang city for its record of the biggest lanterns in Viet Nam.
