Vance Joy is ready to serenade Showgoers

Day eight of the Show is here and musician Vance Joy is ready to serenade Showgoers with a guest performance. Other highlights include live beekeeping demonstrations in the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome and fashion parades as part of the Natural Fibre Showcase in the Stables.

Guest performance from Vance Joy

Get down to the Daily Telegraph Park today as Hit 104.1 2Day FM brings you the magic of Australia’s own Vance Joy.

The Melbourne born musician joins us after releasing his debut solo album last November on the back of the huge success of his worldwide single ‘Riptide’, the song that landed him the number one spot on Triple J’s hottest 100 in 2014.

And if Vance Joy wasn’t enough, Mashd N Kutcher will also hit the stage with their signature mashups, unique live production, drums, synths, guitars and more.

You can catch these performances at the Hit104.1 2DayFM activation in The Daily Telegraph Park from 6pm for Mashd N Kutcher and Vance Joy at 6:40pm tonight.

Not to ‘bee’ missed

The results of the Sydney Royal National Honey Show are in! Visit the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome from 9.30am today and see who won the coveted Phillip Carter Memorial Trophy, along with the title of best honey in the country.

You’ll also discover seven different varieties of honey from all over New South Wales, just waiting to be tasted. As well as award-winning honey, the Dome is stocked with a variety of products: popcorn, shampoos and hand creams, all entirely composed of honey.

To see how honey is made, check out the BeeZeebo in the Dome, where live beekeeping demonstrations will be taking place at 10.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Unleash your inner fashionista.

The Natural Fibre Showcase is a textile and fashion lover’s dream with interactive demonstrations, fibre spinning and boutique stalls. Showgoers can even get up close to the animals that put the fibre on their backs, including alpacas and goats.

Housed in the newly renovated Stables from 9.30am, the showcase celebrates the ‘field to fibre’ story. This year a fashion parade illustrating the link between farming and fashion is held daily at 11.00am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm down the centre of The Stables.

The parade features cotton, wool, alpaca and mohair fashion from the past 60 years. Host Charlotte Smith adds wonderful history and passion to the showcase, bringing the four fibres to life.

Located along the Animal Walk, The Stables will add a splash of style your day.
