ibtm events (www.ibtmevents.com) has recently confirmed that a number of key learning principles will underpin each session that is to be delivered as part of the global ibtm knowledge programme on 5 continents.
A focus on choice, impact of learning environments and uniqueness of content will be primary areas of importance within the themed programmes that will be tailored to accommodate the audiences in each show location.
Erica Keogan, Associations and Education Manager, ibtm events comments, “As the world’s leading organiser of meetings industry events, education and knowledge is a core element of our brand values. At the same time, we also know that every country is at a different stage of its development in the sector so we are now strategically working to deliver meaningful content to over 30,000 attendees all of whom will be looking for something that helps their business, and career both now and in the future.
“As education specialists, we understand that although every event professional is different, many of their challenges remain the same, which is why we have created a number of themes which will run across all of the shows.”
The education themes set to be delivered during 2015 include; The Importance of Connections, Meeting Design, Tools for Planner Productivity and Industry Engagement. Each session will be specifically tailored to meet the evolving educational needs of each region, as well as showcasing some of the top speakers in the destination.
Keogan concludes, “Our knowledge and experience of the different cultural aspects in various regions will be reflected in the delivery of content at each show. As an event portfolio that connects business people from all over the world, it is vital that we respect the fact that there is no such thing as one size fits all when it comes to education content.”
Last year ibtm events connected 5,000 suppliers from over 100 countries, with 19,000 meetings and events planners. The portfolio is a catalyst for over 120,000 appointments, which are pre-scheduled between exhibitors and Hosted Buyers®. The next ibtm knowledge sessions will take place at ibtm america (www.ibtmamerica.com) and ibtm china (www.cibtm.com).
