Robina Town Centre illuminates Gold Coast skies with laser light shows

Robina Town Centre is set to light up Gold Coast skies by night, with a series of spectacular, free laser light shows taking place lakeside on The Promenade during February, including Valentine's Day. Using innovative laser graphic technology, a series of moving images will be projected onto an impressive 25 metre wide 'Aqua-Screen' positioned in the lake. This will create a stunning holographic vision and tell a unique story for audiences to enjoy. The laser light spectacle will also be synchronised with surround-sound music, transforming a typical visit to The Promenade into an extraordinary feast for the senses. Thursday 19 – Saturday 21 February from 7.30pm – 9.30pm each night.

Chinese New Year Festival (Saturday 21 February 2015, 3pm - 9pm)

Gold Coast Chinatown is set to come alive with colour, cuisine and cultural entertainment when we celebrate the inaugural Chinese New Year Festival. The festival throws open the gates of the new Gold Coast Chinatown and provides a place where the local community, international students and visitors can come together to share unique cultural and dining experiences. The streets will be transformed into a delicious and inspiring cultural bazaar right in the heart of the CBD. The sky will come alive with a firework display at 9pm.

Gold Coast Film Festival Ushers in Exciting Changes for 2015 (9-19 April, 2015)The Gold Coast's biggest public film event, The Gold Coast Film Festival, will bring film lovers a more diverse range of films, events and seminars, from a new central location in 2015. For the first time, the city's major film festival will be based at The Arts Centre for the ten-day event, running 9-19 April 2015 and will introduce a special social hub 'The GCFF Lounge' for local film lovers to mingle and meet filmmakers between screenings and seminars. In addition to the main location change, the Festival will also be offering screenings at locations across the Gold Coast, ensuring that no matter where film fans live, they can catch a film as part of the Festival. Now entering its 13 year, The Gold Coast Film Festival is broadening its appeal by showcasing emerging and established local filmmakers and bringing a wide range of international films for all audiences to the Gold Coast, under the guidance of new Festival director Kylie Pascoe.
