Owing to the growing demand and sell out of majority of extension space even two months ahead of opening, the organiser of the Gold Coast International Marine Expo has expanded exhibition floor space by 20 per cent. The Gold Coast International Marine Expo will be held at the Gold Coast Marine Precinct in Australia on 1-3 November.
“We have had an influx of new exhibitors securing display sites and we expect to further expand the total site, which will mean we could have exhibits from Waterway Drive all the way to the Coomera River which would be incredible for our third year,” said Emma Milne, a spokeswoman from the not-for-profit marine expo.
With a lot of new new attractions and entertainment planned for 2013, the organiser expects to surpass the 20,752 visitors that attended the previous event in 2012. They also expect more than 500 boats to be on display including 100 boats in the on-water display.
Among the new highlights are the Expo high divers presented by JSW Powersports; the Family Zone which features 2,000sqm of “fun, entertainment and activities” for children of all ages; the Coomera Cup paddle board race; and the Flyboard X water jet-powered machine.
Other attractions include the Yamaha Supertank Fishing Show, the Club Marine Cooking Show with chef Bart Beek, and the giant 50 Tonne Travel Lift Demonstration.
The expo is a partnership between Gold Coast City Marina and Shipyard, Riviera, Quintrex, International Paints, and Clipper Motor Yachts.
