An exciting new tourism experience is being offered by local tour company Brett’s Kuranda Half Day Tours, with bungy jumping and minjin swing now available with Kuranda tour packages.
Owners Brett and Andrea Gibson say they have introduced the new package to accommodate the adventure travel market wanting another way to experience the rainforest and the region and it is the only tour of its kind leaving from Port Douglas.
“We have offered this thrill-seeker’s package a few times as a private charter for families with teenage children and the feedback has been unbelievable,” Andrea said.
“So we thought it would be great to introduce this as a regular ongoing package for the teens, families and younger market who want to combine it with one of our other half day tours.”
The new tour package really is the ‘ultimate rainforest experience’ combining adrenaline with relaxation, offering travellers a chance to bungy into the rainforest or minjin swing through the rainforest canopy and then glide over it in the comfort of a Skyrail cable car.
The actual packages include a 2 ½ hour visit to AJ Hackett for a bungy jump and/or a minjin swing, a leisurely ride on Skyrail, a visit to Kuranda village and then return on Kuranda Scenic Rail.
Winner of the Certificate of Excellence 2013 by Trip Advisor, Brett’s Kuranda Half Day Tours offer personalised package tours including Wildlife Habitat & Kuranda, Hartley’s Creek & Kuranda, and now the AJ Hackett Bungy Jumping & Kuranda Package.
Locals and tourists alike choose Brett’s Kuranda Half Day Tours for Brett’s knowledge and passion for the region, his welcoming and personal touch, how flexible and accommodating his tours are and what an entertaining host he is.
“We have always had strong support for all our tours and we think our new offering will appeal to the younger and more adventurous market,” Andrea says.
