The Gay and Lesbian Film Festival is back in Hamburg from 15 to 20 October 2013 and it’s as fresh and as liberal as ever. Now in its 24th year, the festival continues to portray the depth and breadth of productions emerging from the gay and lesbian film scene, showcasing primarily new films from all over the world.
Anyone with a passion for film will find something to entertain them, with feature-length movies, documentaries, short films and experimental cinematic art on offer.
The festival is also popular for its supporting programme – the discussions, workshops, festival parties and after-show get-togethers make this much more than just a series of film screenings.
During the course of the event there will be seven film prizes awarded across five competitions.
