Kiama Winter Street Festival

Kiama Winter Street Festival
The Kiama Winter Street Festival will see downtown Kiama transform into a winter wonderland on Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 July 2024.

Terralong Street will close to cars and open for people to enjoy dining, music, live art, interactive workshops, dancing and street entertainment, with magical light installations filling the evening sky.

Destination Kiama Chair, Cr Matt Brown, said "We are looking forward to creating a fun, engaging and vibrant festival, capturing our famous community spirit while supporting local businesses by providing expanded dining and shopping opportunities during the normally quieter winter months.”

“We encourage everyone to come and immerse themselves in the festivities, enjoy the abundance of dining options and entertainment late into the night (well 9pm is late for us!).”

Entertainment juggernauts, Junkyard Beats will entertain the crowd and provide a booty-shaking, toe-tapping, electric atmosphere with drumming and dancing, while local dance troupes, community groups, solo artists and bands, such as Bronte Alva, Rolling Holy, Prodikal-1 and The Groove showcase their many talents.

Laughter House will bring the latest national talent to the 'Kiama Little Big Stage', DJs will keep the party vibes alive into the night, alongside a laser show by Flying Pictures, a glow zone and light installations highlighting local art by R & R Production Services.

Other installations include illuminated giant puppets by Curious Legends, as well as fun for the kids with activities, a giant snow globe, arctic alley and roving fun by Cirque Um Navigate, including a magic and fire show, all creating a truly immersive winter street festival experience.

“This is a great initiative, and we welcome all of the community activations that bring everyone together to enjoy our beautiful town, especially during the winter months,” said Central Perk Cafe owner Cameron Thomas.

The Kiama Winter Street Festival is funded by the NSW Government, with support from i98fm.
