Minister for Jobs and Tourism John Graham said: “Accommodation is a crucial sector of the visitor economy, providing visitors with a home away from home. NSW wouldn’t have a $50 billion visitor economy without the efforts of the sector, particularly those who received awards.”
“All the winners are demonstrating the excellence that enables continued growth, and I congratulate them on behalf of the NSW Government.”
Destination NSW CEO Steve Cox said: “A huge congratulations to the teams at the Rydges Resort Hunter Valley and Spicers Sangoma, as well as to all the other winners and finalists.”
“I know the judges were spoilt for choice when picking winners of this year’s awards - NSW is home to an outstanding group of tourism and hospitality professionals and properties.
“These awards play an important role in highlighting the commitment of hospitality and accommodation professionals to delivering great experiences for visitors to NSW.
“Destination NSW is focused on promoting the rich and immersive visitor experiences on offer across NSW, and these awards recognise the contribution the accommodation and hospitality sectors make to visitors to our state.”
The Awards for Excellence were held by Accommodation Australia NSW, the peak body for accommodation and hospitality providers in the state. This year’s Awards celebrated a record-breaking 354 finalists across 38 categories, including the newly launched Workplace Health and Wellbeing Property of the Year, Best Outdoor Experience (including rooftop bars) and Best Casual Dining Experience Awards.
