WHATS NEW IN COLORADO

The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Museum will open on 30 July. Located in Colorado Springs, also known as Olympic City USA, the museum is a one-of-a-kind tribute to the Olympic and Paralympic movements with 12 galleries that take guests through Team USA's athlete journeys. The southwest Colorado town of Ridgway has received notification that it has been named an International Dark Sky community after a two year process. This is Colorado's third International Dark Sky Community, along with Westcliffe/Silver Cliff and Norwood, with four Dark Sky Parks: Dinosaur National Monument, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, Great Sand Dunes National Park and Hovenweep National Monument. These areas have minimal light pollution and so are fantastic for stargazing, with each Dark Sky Park also offering a night sky program and events.
