The tourism sector of the central province of Thua Thien-Hue and Fayfay.com Co., Ltd., of Hong Kong , China signed a cooperation agreement during a local ceremony on March 7.
Signatories were Acting Director of the provincial Tourism Department Le Huu Minh and co-founder of Fayfay.com Kelvin Wu.
Accordingly, both sides will popularise local destinations, tourism products and services, events, and festivals; hold tourism seminars and festivals; and invite investors to fuel sustainable tourism development.
Speaking at the event, Minh expressed his wish that products on Fayfay.com would inspire more tourists from Asia, especially Northeast and Southeast Asia, to visit the Complex of Hue Monuments. With the partnership of Fayfay.com, Thua Thien-Hue and the central provinces of Da Nang, Quang Nam, Quang Binh, and Quang Tri hope to access more tourists from Asia.
Wu said Hue welcomed 4.33 million tourists last year, up 14 percent annually and earning nearly 192.4 million USD.
He believed that tourist arrivals in Hue and other central localities will hit record highs this year.
Wu said Fayfay.com wants to introduce the region’s culture, history, world heritage sites, and beaches to visitors from Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia on its digital platform.
Fayfay.com is a Hong Kong-based e-commerce travel platform dedicated to local experiences in Viet Nam. Meaning “fly, fly” in Cantonese, it aims to make visiting Viet Nam as hassle-free and enriching as possible.
