Yoga Experience at the Old Mitsui Family Shimogamo Villa

Join a FREE English trial tour and yoga class being held INSIDE one of Kyoto’s important cultural properties, the Old Mitsui Family Shimogamo Villa. The structure, originally built by one of Japan’s financial conglomerate-families, beautifully mixes architectural styles from multiple eras of Japanese history. 

Your teacher will start off by taking you for a light warm-up at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Shimogamo-jinja Shrine. After you explore the shrine and take in the energizing atmosphere of the woods that surround it, you will return to the villa for your yoga class, led by a certified instructor. This is an opportunity not to be missed, so make a reservation soon, as spots are limited!
