During 2018, Quang Tri welcomed over 1.8 million visitors with popular tourist attractions in the region, including Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River, Vinh Moc tunnel and Ta Con airport.
According to the Quang Tri Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the province received more than 1.8 million visitors, representing a 10.3% increase from the previous year, including 168,000 foreign arrivals, up by 2.4%, and over 1.6 million domestic tourists, up by 11.2%.
The provincial tourism sector raked in an estimated VND1.624 billion in revenue, an annual rise of 6.8%.
The sector has made strides in recent times with the release of more information on tourism promotion activities, a diversification of tourist products as well as developing tourism alongside localities in the East-West Corridor, north-central and central provinces to meet increasing demand for travel.
Quang Tri province aims to receive nearly 2 million visitors in 2019, up 8.7% compared to the 2018 figure with total tourism revenue reaching VND1.740 billion, a year-on-year rise of 7.1%.
