Beachside boutique hotel brand, Bannisters, officially opened its newest haven on the NSW North Coast at Port Stephens last week with an official ribbon cutting and seafood feast attended by VIPs and large media contingent, at celebrated chef Rick Stein’s signature onsite eatery.
Nestled on the coast fringed by national parks, Bannisters Port Stephens has 80 contemporary rooms, an infinity pool overlooking the bay and emanates the Bannisters ethos of barefoot luxury.
Destination Sydney Surrounds North (DSSN) worked closely with the State’s tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, to secure the funding for the new restaurant Rick Stein at Bannisters.
DSSN Board Member Naomi Farrelly said, "Food and Wine experiences are key drivers for tourism visitation. We are excited to be able to support this new hero product which will showcase Port Stephens’ seafood and produce from across the Hunter region and create a new world-class dining experience."
