Even though I was travelling alone, I enjoyed a luxurious room with two huge king sized beds in it. The bed was very comfortable to sleep on in the room darkened with blackout curtains.
The room was very elegant with a wooden floor and wooden furniture. Two windows allowed the sun to shine in with the room being cooled with air conditioning.
I enjoyed using the complimentary internet internet access through ADSL and WiFi, watching programs on the LCD TV mounted on the wall, and making refreshments with the min-bar and tea/coffee making facilities. The room was made safe with an electronic door lock and a personal electronic safe.
The ensuite bathroom had a shower over the bath, toilet and vanity basin. A air dryer, bathrobe, towels and toiletries were provided.
The 180 seat Kim Do Hotel Boulevard Restaurant on the 4th Floor is open from 6:00am to 11:00pm. It offers panoramic views and serves a daily buffet breakfast, lunch, dinner with a wide range of Vietnamese, Chinese, French, Italian cuisines and delicious fresh local seafood. From authentically prepared local Vietnamese dishes to international cuisine prepared by their team of experts, their menus will delight even the most discriminating palates. Each morning I enjoyed the buffet breakfasts with a choice of hot or cold dishes, tea and coffee. Egg dishes and pancakes were freshly made to order.
The Rendezvous bar and Royal Cafe on the Ground Floor overlook the very heart of the city and provide an enticing journey for peoples taste buds. This is the ideal meeting place for a relaxed Vietnamese coffee, afternoon tea or variety of high quality drinks to suit everyone’s taste.
The Kim Do Hotel Saigon offers a range of leisure options to enjoy. Unfortunately I did not have time to use any of these as I was out on tours during the days and nights.
They offer a Massage Service, Sauna, Steambath, Jacuzzi Room, Gyms and Swimming Pool. the outdoor swimming pool allows guests to indulge themselves in the relaxing atmosphere with blue water and tropical trees. Swimming courses of various types are open to hotel guests. The pool is open from 6 am to 9 pm.

Many taxis and Grabs were available for those preferring not to walk. available.The pedestrian plaza in front of the hotel comes alive in the cool of the evening with many people enjoying viewing the water fountains, listening to music and people watching.
I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. They had a good rate of exchange when I changed my Australian money into Vietnamese money.
