This time, I was also moved by the beautiful scenery!
The cooking here uses seasonal ingredients from Iwate prefecture. One of the charms is that you can enjoy the local items.
The traditional, “heavy kitchen” cooking style of Shizukuishi can also be enjoyed
A 10-minute walk from the promenade of the hotel into the forest is the “Notenburo” outdoor bath called “Senjo no Yu” located near the runoff of a waterfall.
Even though it’s just 10 minutes away from the hotel, the open rock bath feels like another world surrounded by trees. I was able to experience a bathing spot that you’ll never find in a city.
Also, it’s not just Japanese cuisine and onsen that you’ll find here. The most charming experience here was the viewing lift that had amazing sights! From the lift, it seems as if the trees make a red carpet on the ground!
The scenery of Akita’s Komagatake and Hayatekei mountains were also superb!
In the surrounding area, there are also small farms and ski resorts.
The best time to see the autumn leaves is the end of September ~~to Mid-October. Please take a chance to come and visit “Holiday Village Iwate Amihari Onsen” for yourself!
