Artists play traditional Vietnamese musical instruments in front of the Central Post Office in downtown HCM City every Saturday morning from 9am to 10.30am to entertain visitors and passers-by.
This began in the middle of October.
The artists either belong to the folk dance and music club Gió Mới (New Wind) based in the District 1 Cultural Centre or are students at the HCM City Conservatory of Music.
They play đờn ca tài tử, a genre of folk music popular in the south and recognised in 2013 by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity.
The Post Office is next to the Notre Dame Cathedral, and both are popular tourist spots.
