HISTORIC RUGBY LEAGUE WOMEN'S WORLD CUP IS HERE

The world’s best female rugby league players have arrived in Sydney for the Women’s Rugby League World Cup 2017.

NSW Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres said, “This is history in the making. For the first time the women’s event will be held at the same time as the men’s, and it’s also the first time all 12 games will be televised in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea.

“The NSW Government is proud to invest half a million dollars to help make the Rugby League Women’s World Cup 2017 a reality.”

The tournament will be played until 26 November, with the final on 2 December.

The Australian Jillaroos will defend their title on home soil against pool rivals England and the Cook Islands.

Tickets are on sale now.
