Legendary Australian rock band, Cold Chisel has announced they will headline the inaugural Coates Hire Newcastle 500 on 25 November.
Renowned as one of the most dynamic Australian live acts ever, Cold Chisel – Jimmy Barnes (lead vocals), Ian Moss (lead guitar/vocals), Don Walker (keyboards / backing vocals), Phil Small (bass guitar) and Charley Drayton (drums) – will perform their iconic hits such as Flame Trees, Khe Sanh, Cheap Wine, Rising Sun and Bow River, as well as songs from their recent albums ‘No Plans’ and ‘The Perfect Crime’.
NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events Adam Marshall said, “Cold Chisel are Australian rock royalty as well as racing enthusiasts, which makes them the perfect fit to headline the inaugural Coates Hire Newcastle 500. I encourage motorsport and music fans alike to get their tickets now for what promises to be an excellent weekend of racing and entertainment.”
The Coates Hires Newcastle 500 has been secured for Newcastle by Destination NSW, with the support of Newcastle City Council.
