Now there will be even more, with the launch of two new tours by the region’s premier tour operator Cruise Whitsundays – a BBQ picnic lunch tour and a beach/snorkelling combination tour.
The ‘BBQ Picnic on Whitehaven Beach’ tour will comfortably transport couples (or singles, families, or groups of friends) to Whitehaven Beach to enjoy two hours of lazing on the impossibly white silica sands while they enjoy a sumptuous and bountiful BBQ lunch cooked and presented on the beach, in the sand, by the region’s leading caterer, Fish D’vine.
The ‘Whitehaven Beach and Snorkelling Adventure’ is a full day experience incorporating time on Whitehaven Beach (including the BBQ lunch) and snorkelling at nearby Chalkies Beach – one of the region’s very best inner fringing reef snorkel locations.
Cruise Whitsundays Sales Manager Lisa Bates said the introduction of the two new tours was exciting both for Cruise Whitsundays and for visitors to the Whitsundays.
“Whitehaven Beach is pretty much the ultimate beach picnic location, and together with our catering partner Fish D’vine we present a wonderful, relaxed lunchtime on the beach,” Ms Bates said.
“We were also excited to be able to launch a new snorkelling/Whitehaven Beach combination tour which takes guests in small groups by tender vessel to nearby Chalkies Beach to snorkel,” she said.
“This tour allows travellers to see the very best of the Whitsundays in one day – world famous Whitehaven Beach and some of the region’s best fringing coral reefs - and in the comfort of our air conditioned, stable and brand new vessel,”
“We are excited that having our new custom built vessel ‘Sea Quest’ has allowed us to reconfigure our boating operations to include a lunch time tour which we know will be very appealing
particularly to couples, but also to other travellers wanting to see and enjoy Whitehaven Beach, as well as offer a beach/snorkelling combination tour,”
“These two new tours are part of our dedicated commitment to product innovation over the past 12 months, and there are even more plans in the pipeline,”
“This commitment to innovation means we are offering the very best tour opportunities to visitors and helping make holidays to the Whitsundays even more appealing.”
The tours have been developed following popular demand and positive feedback from the company’s full day Whitehaven Beach, Snorkelling and Hill Inlet tour, as well as the new opportunities provided by the launch of the new vessel.
The two new tours add to the already large range of tour experiences to Whitehaven Beach on offer by Cruise Whitsundays already including half or full day tours, 2 or 3 island combination tours, and fully guided smaller group tour experiences.
The new tours commenced in mid-November and are available daily.
