A search engine marketing campaign to drive visitation to Regional NSW has won a prestigious industry award.
Destination NSW has won the Best in Search Award for ‘Always On Regional NSW’ at the Association for Data-driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) Australian Creativity and Effectiveness (AC&E) Awards.
The campaign profiles destinations and experiences across Regional NSW, with the paid search engine component driving traffic to Destination NSW’s consumer website, Visitnsw.com.
Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said she was delighted the campaign’s strong results had received industry recognition.
“This accolade reflects the innovative work that Destination NSW is doing to increase overnight visitor expenditure and drive tourism to our regions,” Ms Chipchase said.
“In the last financial year, through paid search engine marketing, ‘Always On Regional NSW’ drove nearly five million hits to Visitnsw.com and delivered more than 1.2 million leads to the NSW tourism industry – almost 20 per cent of the total volume of visits and leads to the website for the year.
“With our beautiful beaches and 14 wine regions, to national parks, a packed calendar of festivals and events, and world-class attractions across the State, Regional NSW offers visitors many reasons to take a short break, and to come back and experience everything that’s on offer.”
Destination NSW was also a finalist in the Search Engine Optimisation category and was highly commended by ADMA for the ‘Always On Regional NSW SEO’ campaign.
ADMA is the principal industry body for information-based marketing, media and advertising as well as the largest marketing and advertising association in Australia.
The ADMA AC&E Awards focus on marketing, media and advertising work that demonstrates both creativity and effectiveness.
