‘Pour
and froth, sip and savour, look and learn’ is the tag line for the 17th
annual The Rocks Aroma Festival, returning to satisfy Sydneysiders’
insatiable appetite for coffee on Sunday 27 July 2014. Aroma has
something for every coffee lover with tours, tastings and workshops held
in the weeks leading up to the festival.
The Rocks Square will be transformed into a handmade coffee garden
throughout July, with ‘Behind Closed Doors’ historic café tours starting
out from the garden and winding through The Rocks’ historic cafés and
restaurants hidden amongst the area’s archaeological sites and other
historic treasures.
This year the Aroma Festival boasts 65 stalls featuring coffee roasters,
tea, domestic coffee machines and fine foods. The Aroma Cup also
returns for its second year with local cafés competing throughout July
for the title of best coffee experience, as judged by industry
specialists and clientele.
Spending some time in The Rocks is a must for visitors – it is a Sydney
treasure that has been the pride of locals for thousands of years. To
