COMPETITION TO NAME SYDNEY'S HIGHEST EVENT SPACE

A competition is underway to name Sydney’s highest event space and bar at the top of the Westfield Sydney Tower, coinciding with a million dollar refurbishment to be completed in late August.

The re-vamped space, formally Sky Venue, will accommodate events for up to 200 people including conferences, cocktail functions, formal dinners, team-building activities, weddings, celebrations, ticketed events and bar nights.

The refurbishment will be inspired by a New York loft, and will include timber panelling and furnishings, mood lighting and window lounge seats that offer 220 degree penthouse views over Sydney’s skyline.

General Manager Sales and Marketing at Trippas White Group, Rebecca Skeete, said, “The tower is distinctly Sydney – it is part of our horizon, our childhood memories and our celebrations. It made sense to us to involve Sydneysiders in choosing a new name for our city’s highest event space. The competition guidelines are simple: we want a punchy name fitting for a Sydney icon.”

The competition is open until Friday 22 August with a shortlist to be announced on Monday, 25 August. Finalists will be invited to an exclusive launch party in early September where the venue’s new name will be unveiled. The winner of the competition will win a VIP cocktail party to the value of $2,000.
