Wings Over Illawarra 2013, 'Celebrating Naval Aviation', will be another spectacular day of action featuring current and historic navy aircraft combined with a wide range of other historic and modern aircraft, including fast jets. There will also be a transport themed ground display of historic cars and bikes with military history vehicles and vintage farm machinery. Wings Over Illawarra is staged at Illawarra Regional Airport at Albion Park, New South Wales, Australia, and is easily accessible by fast CityRail train as a convenient alternative to road.
The Wings Over Illawarra 2013 focus on naval aviation commemorates the fact that 2013 is the 100th anniversary of the first Royal Australian Navy fleet arriving in Sydney harbour, and the event will be a lead-in to the Royal Australian Navy international fleet review and air show to be held in October.
