SCENIC WORLD BLUE MOUNTAINS RE-OPENS FOLLOWING $30 MILLION REDEVELOPMENT

Scenic World Blue Mountains has unveiled its new railway following a $30 million redevelopment. The new experience still holds the record as the world’s steepest incline railway.

The purpose built enclosed glass roof red carriages allow passengers to choose their own adventure giving them the chance to adjust their seated position up to 20 degrees and choose an adventurous ‘Cliffhanger’ ride at a steep 64 degree incline down the mountain side. New platforms and photographic interpretation of the site’s history adds to the customer experience. The redevelopment also includes a new food and beverage experience, outdoor dining area, and retail space.

The new ticketing system includes the new Scenic Railway, the glass-floored Scenic Skyway, the Scenic Cableway, and the Scenic Walkway at the base of the Railway in the one ticket price.
