Founded in 1982 by Christina Drakos, our company has always been a pioneer in the field of destination management; having consistently offered superior services and dedicated attention to our clients. In 1983, we organized the first incentive group to visit Cyprus; and have continued to be a leader in this area. Valuing creativity, customer service, and professionalism, we have served hundreds of thousands of visitors, guests and delegates making their way to our island throughout the past 40 years.
Drakos is a member of prestigious international associations and groups. For over 30 years, since 1992, we have been members of Euromic, a one-member-per-country organization for destination management companies in the meetings and events industry. In 1997, Christina became one of the founders of CIMA, setting the standard for destination management companies on the island.
Since 2014, I have had the privilege of taking the reins and directing Drakos; as we continue our journey together. In 2018, 2019, and 2020, our team won the World Travel Awards as Cyprus' Leading Destination Management Company. In 2019, we also received the Cyprus Export Award, awarded by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, for Drakos' contribution to the travel and service industry of the island.
Today, we weigh on the obstacles we have overcome together, and look forward to a bright future. Our team is committed to staying at the forefront of industry trends and developments, including focusing on sustainability and improving the social impact of our activities. With a focus on delivering superior service and creating unforgettable experiences, we look at the years ahead with optimism; both for our industry and our home, Cyprus.
