September 9-11: United Tribes Technical College International Pow Wow Bismarck is one of the last large outdoor events on the northern Great Plains powwow circuit.

For that reason, this annual event is known as the Home of the Champions and is one of the premier national Native American events. A pow wow is defined as a cultural celebration that features group singing and dancing by men, women, and children. Cultural traditions such as values and spirituality are passed from generation to generation during these social gatherings.
