Sumida Hokusa Museum Telling the Story about world-famous Artist Hokusai

The Sumida Hokusai museum holds and displays many works of the world-famous Ukiyo-e artist KATSUSHIKA Hokusai (1760 to 1849) who left behind a large number of outstanding pieces of work. 

The museum introduces the works of Hokusai and his disciples, and explains the connection between Hokusai and Sumida, the ward where the artist was born, in an engaging and easy-to-understand manner.
