Haymarket Library is relocating to Darling Square

Haymarket Library is relocating to Darling Square – a vibrant new neighbourhood next to Haymarket and Darling Harbour.

Haymarket Library will close at 4pm on Saturday 14 September 2019. The brand new Darling Square Library in The Exchange Building will open on Monday 28 October 2019.

Darling Square Library, 4 times the size of the existing Haymarket Library, will open 7 days a week. You’ll have access to over 30,000 items in the library, including a large Asian literature collection. There’ll be space to read, work and study, including meeting rooms, public computers and free wifi. The dedicated children’s area will host regular bilingual rhymetime and storytime sessions.

The library will also be home to an ideas lab, with a makerspace and program of hands-on workshops for creation and learning.

You can use our other library branches and online services while we relocate.
