This event brings together 70 domestic unicorn dance teams and international teams from Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore.
Hue Unicorn Dance Festival 2019 is organised as an opportunity for teams to compete and showcase their unicorn dance skills, bringing beautiful performances and bustling atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
This is also an opportunity for local people as well as visitors to have the opportunity to exchange and learn about this unique art, contributing to the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values. The festival will, thereby, diversify local tourism products, retain visitors, and promote the image of Hue ancient capital, the unique Festival City of Vietnam.
The Mai Hoa Thung dance competition will take place on September 7 and the Lan Dia Buu round will take place on September 8.
In order to ensure fairness, the organizers have invited a panel of both domestic and international judges. The judges will score according to international rules, based on the difficulty of the dance, drum beats and the content and ideas in each performance.
In addition, in the framework of the festival, there will be other interesting activities such as art performances by artists in the region, collective unicorn, lion and dragon dances.
