Wanted: Travel Writers

Are you a budding travel writer and longing to see your name in print? Do you have some great stories to tell about the Upper Hunter that you think visitors to our region will enjoy reading?

If this sounds up your street then we are all ears! Your local tourism organisation, Upper Hunter Country Tourism are currently compiling the new 2017 Visitors Guide and invite you to submit stories, interesting little known facts about the region, recipes and images to include in the new Upper Hunter regional guide book. If successful your article could appear in over 30,000 magazines that are distributed throughout NSW, as well as on the UHCT website (www.upperhuntercountry.com).

Over the past few years, we have found that visitors look on the magazine as more than just a guide book of their chosen destination for a holiday - they see it as a good read. Something they can pass on and the place they can learn some new and interesting facts and stories from the people of the region. Our new guide book will be more like a ‘lifestyle magazine’ so we are looking for some really good content to include. If you are a budding writer and want to submit an article for us to consider including then please email your item and supporting images (high resolution images only please) to sconevic@upperhunter.nsw.gov.au by 4 October.

Articles should be no longer than 300 words for us to consider and should be submitted in Word format.
