BLUE HEELER FILM FESTIVAL

The Blue Heeler Film Festival returns to the Upper Hunter in September 2016!

The Blue Heeler Film Festival is a fun annual community event held during the school holidays. It includes a short film competition to give talent from the Hunter region an opportunity to showcase their film making genius to The World!

The final Blue Heeler Film Festival event will be the red carpet awards night on the evening of Saturday 24 September at Two Rivers Winery from 5.30 pm. Find out who will walk away with the category prizes, who is this year’s People’s Choice, and which local filmmaker wins the Bluey. Winning films in all categories will be screened after the awards, followed by the special feature film preview screening of Hunting for Shadows, written and directed by Davo Hardy and starring Sage Amethyst Matchett, Sage Godrei, and Paul Mercurio.

The event will also feature live entertainment and food for sale by local groups. Coffee, tea and and hot chocolate will be available on both nights from LA Café Coffee 2 You.

Children under 15 will need to be accompanied by an adult to both events as some of the short and feature films are classified M.
