The annual Nanshan Longevity Cultural Festival is set to kick off at the Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone in Sanya today, October 2nd, the “Double Ninth Day” of 2014.
A number of activities have been scheduled for the festival, including mountaineering, cultural & art performances, a seminar on social sciences and senior citizen culture, and a photo exhibition of centenarians.
Meanwhile, people over 60 years of age and visitors who happen to be celebrating their birthday on that day are eligible for free tickets to the festival.
As the only tropical coastal tourism destination in the country, Hainan is blessed with an extremely pleasant climate and an excellent ecological environment. To date, the Nanshan Longevity Culture Festival has been successfully held every year since 1999.
