Wesley Mission’s Urban Expeditions Amazing Race-style Program

Looking for an exciting way to see Sydney’s CBD? Have some tourists in town looking for a unique day out? Urban Expeditions is Wesley Mission’s Amazing Race-style program, enabling tourists to enjoy a fun-filled day in the city.

Visit iconic landmarks around Sydney CBD, while completing an exciting amazing race, with some fun challenges along the way. This program departs every Tuesday/Thursday from Pitt Street, visiting The Rocks, Darling Harbour, Chinatown, St Marys Cathedral, NSW State Library, NSW Art Gallery and the Botanic Gardens.

For young adventurers, Urban Adventures has just launched its unique school holiday program. Big City Day Camp, a fun alternative way for kids to spend the school holidays, caters for kids aged 7-14. The Camps have a unique spin to typical vacation care programs. The 2013/14 school holiday program will include one-day packages such as:

  • Manly Beach Day: Spend the day exploring Manly, checking out marine life, snorkelling, learning to surf, battling it out in beach volleyball, exploring the old army barracks and the amazing harbour views, and finally getting your hands dirty in a sand treasure hunt and sand sculptures.
  • Darling Harbour Adventure: An action-packed day kids will rave about for weeks. Check out newly released movies in iconic George Street cinemas, get street savvy by learning how to navigate the city to Darling Harbour for a traditional game of tenpin bowling or laser tag.
  • Sydney Harbour Adventure: Jump on a ferry to Garden Island Navy base, climb to the highest point to watch the boats pass, explore the start of Sydney’s hidden tunnel, then off to Watsons Bay and down to Bondi Beach for a play in the sand and traditional beach sporting activities.
