India’s national capital has been honoured with two prestigious tourism awards, Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
Delhi Tourism was awarded the Tourism for Tomorrow Award, India by World Travel & Tourism Council India Initiative (WTTCII) last week which was received by chairman Manish Chatrath on behalf of the state government.
The city also picked up the runner-up trophy for Favourite Indian City Award from the Condé Nast Traveller India Magazine at another event.
“Delhi has received a number of awards in the past one year and it will be a morale booster for the industry,” Delhi Tourism chief manager Sudhir Sobti said when receiving the award.
