Planet Chill Now in Orbit at Paradise Resort

Planet Chill

Paradise Resort Gold Coast has officially launched PLANET CHILL - the only permanent ice skating rink within a resort in the southern hemisphere.

Now open to thrill and chill guests of all ages staying at Australia's premier family accommodation provider, PLANET CHILL will be a unique drawcard for families travelling to the Gold Coast.

Paradise Resort General Manager, David Brook, said his entire management team has been working hard for the past 6 months to ensure that PLANET CHILL is a premium family experience.

"The past 24 months has seen significant capital expenditure by the Resort's owners to make Paradise Resort a must-visit family destination on the Gold Coast," said Mr Brook.

"PLANET CHILL typifies this investment in facilities, ensuring every guest - big or small - can enjoy the ultimate in family fun right outside their hotel door."

PLANET CHILL is only accessible to guests staying at the Resort, similar to the Zone for Kids (Z4K) Waterpark and kids Club - with sessions that cater for different age groups to ensure maximum safety for all.

The facility is also supervised by staff trained in first-aid and who are registered blue card holders and, as with other supervised parts of the Resorts, parents can allow their kids to enjoy their own holiday adventures and carve out precious holiday 'me' time.

Entry to PLANET CHILL is $20 per person, which includes skate and helmet hire. A maximum 60 people will be allowed on the ice at any one time.

Littlies are also able to hire specially designed penguin-themed stabilisers to make their 'icecapades' more bump-free.

Mr Brook said the space also includes a specifically themed area called the 'Chill Zone', catering to teenagers with game tables such as air hockey, foos ball and a pool table.

"We've also included lots of comfy sitting areas for parents to 'chill out' while supervising kids, the entire space is enhanced with lighting, music and stunning effects to create a unique, icy environment right in the middle of Australia's tropical playground."

"With the opening of PLANET CHILL we are looking to position the Resort in the hearts of holidaying families as the best value for money holiday experience.

"Our proximity to the Gold Coast's stunning natural and themed attractions has always been a drawcard for many of our guests and now we hope to entice new and repeat visitation by delivering on facilities and attractions within the Resort that make every stay a trip to remember."
