Alma Resort Cam Ranh is currently completing a large-scale solar power installation involving 4476 solar panels spread across 23,290 square metres of rooftop space.
The solar panels are being installed across the resort’s 196 pavilions, two distinctive V-shaped towers containing 384 suites, as well as the lobby lounge and utility building.
Once completed later this year, the solar power system will generate 2462 kilowatts peak of energy capacity, enabling the luxury Vietnam resort to supply between 25 and almost 30 percent of its electricity needs, depending on seasonal occupancy levels.
The project is expected to deliver substantial long-term environmental and financial benefits, positioning Alma as a sustainability leader within Vietnam’s luxury hotel landscape.

Over the next 25 years, Alma estimates the solar power system will reduce electricity expenses by as much as USD 7.2 million, equivalent to approximately VND 178 billion.
Equally important, the project is expected to reduce the resort’s carbon dioxide emissions by up to 65,000 tonnes over the same period.

A 325-square-metre water treatment facility uses a reverse osmosis system to produce approximately 70,000 litres of drinkable water and ice each week for the resort’s kitchens.
The property’s waste management system processes around 250 kilograms of waste daily, separating recyclables and compostable materials while ensuring reusable products are diverted from landfill wherever possible.
Used cooking oil is also collected and resold to non-food businesses for recycling purposes.

The resort’s 360-square-metre buggy station supports a fleet of 36 electric buggies that transport guests around the expansive beachfront property.
