Here is what’s new and trending across Western Australia for the year ahead.

Hyde Perth: Bohemian Chic in the Heart of the City

Opening in March 2026, Hyde Perth introduces a new style of urban hotel to the heart of Perth City, also known as Boorloo. This multi-level development blends refined design with a relaxed beach club atmosphere, offering a vibrant base for city exploration.

Hyde Perth will feature 121 rooms, including 18 suites, alongside two versatile event spaces and a Mediterranean-inspired poolside setting. Designed to encourage connection and creativity, the hotel brings a fresh, bohemian edge to Perth’s growing accommodation scene and is set to become a social hub for both visitors and locals.

Sunset and Seafood Cruise: Mandurah at Golden Hour

Sunset and Seafood Cruise
Mandurah, or Mandjoogoordap, welcomes a new on-water experience with the launch of the Sunset and Seafood Cruise by Sea West. Operating from October to April, this 2.5-hour cruise offers a relaxed yet luxurious way to experience Mandurah’s waterways and pristine coastline.

Guests are treated to a five-course seafood menu prepared on board by a private chef, paired with beers, soft drinks and wines from Margaret River’s Howard Park Wines. As the sun sets over the Indian Ocean, the cruise delivers a memorable blend of local flavours, coastal scenery and laid-back indulgence.

The Munbula Cruise: Cultural Storytelling in the Kimberley

Munbula Cruise
Debuting during the 2026 season at El Questro, the Munbula Cruise offers a powerful new Aboriginal cultural experience in the Kimberley. Led by Ngarinyin Traditional Owners, this two-hour journey along the Chamberlain River shares Dreaming stories, traditional songs and deep cultural knowledge of the region’s plants, animals and landscapes.

Operating from May to September, the experience forms part of Tourism Australia’s Discover Aboriginal Experiences program. Optional transfers from El Questro allow guests to seamlessly include this meaningful encounter within their Kimberley itinerary.

Cliffside Dinner at Lake Argyle: Dining in the Outback

At Discovery Resorts Lake Argyle, a new cliffside dinner experience brings travellers together for an intimate evening overlooking one of Australia’s most spectacular inland lakes. Available from April to September, the shared dining experience features a family-style barbecue menu cooked over open coals, paired with beverages and generous country hospitality.

This relaxed, immersive experience captures the raw beauty of Lake Argyle and offers a memorable way to dine under wide Kimberley skies. Transfers from Kununurra, also known as Goonoonoorrang, are available for added convenience.
