According to a Ministry of Tourism statement on Sunday, Cambodia has launched a tourism marketing and promotion board, aiming to promote the tourism sector to international markets.
Led by Tourism Minister Sok Soken, the Cambodia Tourism Marketing and Promotion Board (CTB) consists of representatives from eight public institutions and seven private sectors who hold significant roles in tourism.
The CTB, with its diverse composition of 15 institutions, reflects a comprehensive approach and full participation in strengthening partnerships and cooperation between the public and private sectors. This inclusive structure aims to jointly promote the attractiveness and competitiveness of Cambodia, making everyone feel part of the journey.
The CTB is committed to finding holistic solutions to the challenges in the tourism sector. This dedication reassures the audience of the board’s proactive approach and its determination to achieve specific developmental objectives.
It said the CTB would act as a responsive platform to enable the private sector to fully collaborate with the royal government in accordance with the principle of “think together, act together, and take responsibility together,” both in funding and technical and conceptual contributions, to promote the development of Cambodia’s tourism sector.
The launch of the CTB is a significant step towards realizing the government’s vision of turning Cambodia into a leading and vibrant tourism destination. This achievement instills hope and optimism in the audience about the future of Cambodia’s tourism sector.
