Summer has arrived in Colorado and since this weekend, pre-departure COVID testing has been scrapped, meaning there's little in the way of getting your kicks on a Colorado road trip.
There's plenty of new items to add to the Colorado bucket list too. Colorado has recently welcomed a newly designated state park, new rail experiences – from the renowned Rocky Mountaineer to newly-created Rail Biking excursions – and exciting new experiences that will inspire returning road trippers to “Shine a Little Brighter” with new electric byways, dark sky park and community designations and a first-ever Colorado Historic Opera Houses Circuit.
And as Colorado recognises Pride Month, the state has a plethora of new openings that demonstrate its dedication to inclusivity as the State Governor campaigns for a state holiday to mark Juneteenth, African American Emancipation Day, as well as a month of LGBTQ+ celebrations. #ColoradoLove.
