No matter where you are in Britain, you’re never further than 110 kilometres from a coastline packed with delights, from old smuggler’s coves to sweeping sandy bays, seaside luxury accommodation, mouth watering seafood, coastal castles and the world’s longest signposted walking trail. You can even explore the world's first-ever art GeoTour spanning 1400 kilometres of stunning coast.

Secret Beaches: Often found off-the-beaten-track, these epic beaches are the nation’s best kept secret, offering striking scenic views and fun for all the family.

Check out our newest seaside accommodations and you’ll ‘sea’ that Britain’s coast is ‘shore’ to impress. Including The PIG at Harlyn Bay, The Clock Tower at Bamburgh Castle and The Albion in Wales from the owners of Fforest.

Seafood Trails: Choose from simple seaside shacks serving the days catch to renowned fine dining, celebrated chefs and Michelin starred restaurants. More than 150 different species of fish are caught in British offshore waters – there is a sea of possibility. Try native lobster, langoustines and crabs along the rocky coasts of Cornwall, Wales and Scotland, native oysters from Whitstable, Arbroath Smokies from Scotland (whole smoked haddock) and crack open the possibilities of smaller shellfish including whelks, cockles and mussels. English seafood is so much more than fish and chips and ice cream!

Explore England’s Seafood Coast: Appropriately names, the English Riviera is home to some of Britain’s finest seafood and where some of the nation’s best chefs source their sea produce. Why not go sailing on a heritage sailing trawler, see lobster pots being made by hand using a method that has changed very little over the years.

With 18 Michelin awarded restaurants set along Britain’s coastline, there are plenty of options where dramatic views are as memorable as the dishes delivered.

The England Coast Path is a long-distance National Trail that will follow the coastline of England. When complete in 2022, the 2,700 miles (4,500 kilometres) of signposted path will be the longest coastal walking route in the world.
