First Buyer Hosting Invitations Sent, More Invitations To Follow In Coming Weeks

TTG Events, secretariat of ATF 2016’s TRAVEX event, announced that participation interest across the board has been encouraging. “About 40% of exhibition space has already been snapped up and we have received applications from more than 300 buyers worldwide. We expect the numbers to rise rapidly in the coming weeks” said Darren Ng, Managing Director of TTG Asia Media.

Selected buyers have received their hosting invitations on 15 July, with more invitations scheduled to be sent out in the subsequent weeks. A total of 400 buyers will be fully hosted by the event. In addition, more than 500 booths from travel suppliers across Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, are forecasted to fill the expansive hall of the SMX Convention Center.

Confirmed exhibitor Noor M Ismail, Head, Sales & Marketing of Asian Overland Services Tours & Travel, Malaysia is looking forward to promoting his expanded product portfolio that includes personalised golf tours, sports-events packages, gourmet packages, and cycling tours. On what buyers can expect from his company, he remarked, “Our bi-annual Worldwide Brochure 2016/2017 is ready, too, and this consists of more than 30 improved packages covering Malaysia, Borneo, and Singapore. On top of that, our B2B Online Platform has become more “aggressive” in offering dynamic rates and availability.”

Hosted buyer applicant Arthur Hecker, Owner – Travel Wholesale/ Retailer of RMK Global Travel Services, United States of America is particularly focused on sourcing with the host country Philippines’ suppliers, saying “I want to get in touch with local providers of tours and accommodation from all over the Philippines.”

Other buyer applicants with broad sourcing objectives like Ayodele Oyeneyin, CEO/
MD of Trade Global Marketing Tours, South Africa shared, “We are lookingat destinations Philippines, Myanmar, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos and Cambodia. We want to speak with suppliers and providers from hotels, resorts, luxury travel, travel management, airlines, spa, travel agents, transport companies, tour operators and event organising companies.”
