Post Office announced the results of a study on the cheapest tourist
destinations in the world. According to the data for 2012, the leader of
the most affordable destinations in the world was Turkey.
Held each year, the study shows the countries in which the tourist
gets the most for the minimum value for money. The average price for two
holiday on the Aegean coast in Turkey is 80 USD per day.
Notably, the country topped the list for several years, but then lost
its position due to the cost of services. And now it is back to top the
list as the cheapest destination.
It remains to add that the research method includes not only a survey
of tourists to compare prices on hotels, but a detailed study of the
price of alcoholic beverages, the average dinner for two, and even
sunglasses!
