More than 13,000 people are expected onsite at the award-winning BASSINTHEGRASS festival, with around a quarter of festivalgoers coming from interstate.
Music fans will hear from the likes of Angus & Julia Stone, Baker Boy, LDRU, Ocean Alley, Peach PRC and Spacey Jane, who will perform across two stages, Tropical Stage and Palm Stage. The first acts start just after 1pm and the event runs until midnight, providing an epic day of music.
The region’s busy season is kicking off in earnest, with a typically sunny day and a top of 31°C forecast for the beachside festival.
Additional on-site entertainment includes the Good Tides Sunset Beach Club, Somersby Silent Disco and Good Vibes Market. The iconic Mindil Beach Sunset Markets will be serving up food from 1pm to midnight.
There will be a Wellness Zone where festivalgoers can chill out and recharge, complemented by a team from the All Good Project, who will help everyone party safely and have the best time possible.
St John NT and an onsite facility run by the National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre will provide expert care if needed.
BASSINTHEGRASS is delivered by Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC). NTMEC CEO Suzana Bishop said there was a buzz in the air, with thousands of festivalgoers ready to attend BASSINTHEGRASS.
“There’s just one more sleep until BASSINTHEGRASS and we can all look forward to an action-packed day of great music and entertainment,” Mrs Bishop said.

BASSINTHEGRASS recently won two awards in the global 2023 Eventex Awards, including Bronze in the overall Best Australian/Oceanian Event category.
