The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu
Opened March 2022

The Hotel Seiryu Kyoto Kiyomizu, located on the lush hillside of Higashiyama, offers you a comfortable stay and the stunning panorama of the city of Kyoto.

They deliver a new and exciting experience in a historic building that has served as a school for over 80 years.

This converted historic elementary school building from the 1930s has taken on a new role as an up-scale hotel with 48 guestrooms.

Kiyomizu Elementary School opened in 1869, and was then relocated into this very building, newly constructed for that purpose in 1933. The hotel still holds on to the unique characteristics of the building located onto a slope, and the tasteful combination of Japanese and Western aesthetics.

It encapsulates the taste of its traditional design in a modern, comfortable space. Its wonderful view and its location, convenient for sightseeing, are sure to offer you a memorable stay in Kyoto.

Complete with a rooftop bar with stunning views and Kyoto's first Benoit Restaurant (supervised by Alain Ducasse), the elegant property offers something new in the beautiful Kiyomizu area.
