The Beautifully Landscaped Garden of Kenrokuen

Enjoy a stroll through Kenrokuen’s meticulously designed garden, which incorporates elements like spaciousness, abundant water, and traditional teahouses – it is considered one of the three most beautiful gardens in Japan. 

While Kenrokuen is attractive in all seasons, freshly-fallen ivory snow during winter season gives the garden a different look when its large pine trees are draped with bamboo poles and ropes – called “yukitsuri” – to protect them from the weight of heavy snow the area receives. 

This beautifully landscaped garden is even more stunning in February when it’s illuminated at night.
