Today, Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Qantas have all launched half-price sales on flights to tropical Darwin and the iconic Red Centre in Alice Springs allowing domestic travellers to make huge savings on a Northern Territory holiday.
The half-price fares are part of the Australian Government’s Tourism Aviation Network Support (TANS) to increase the number of flights on routes to regions reliant on tourism and reduce the cost of flying to those regions.
During the flight sale period, the Territory also has a jam-packed calendar of events, including Parrtjima – A Festival in Light, the world’s only Aboriginal light festival hosted in Alice Springs, the quirky Uluru Camel Cup, and the vibrant Darwin Festival plus many more.
Tourism NT Executive General Manager Tony Quarmby said, “This flight sale couldn’t have come at a better time for the Territory; just as the southern states are cooling down, the NT is approaching our peak holiday season with events and experiences ramping up for all to enjoy.
“With Darwin’s biggest music festival BASSINTHEGRASS in May, a double header for car lovers in June with the Finke Desert Race in Central Australia and the Merlin Darwin Triple Crown Supercars plus plenty of food, arts and culture to enjoy all year round; flights to Darwin and Alice Springs are sure to be snapped up quickly.

The sale ends 31 July 2021 (unless sold out prior) and is valid for travel by 30 September 2021. The 50 per cent discount applies to standard fares, both return and one-way, and for selected routes.
