Rick Mercer’s Travel Rant in the Top 10 Ads Canadians chose to watch on YouTube in 2020

In a ranking of the top ads watched by Canadians on YouTube in 2020, Destination Canada’s Travel Rant with Canadian personality Rick Mercer ranked in second place. The rant, which was released in July, encouraged Canadians to get out enjoy our own backyards and support local. Comscore data shows that YouTube is the only Canadian ad supported video platform to reach 94% of Canadians monthly. And as more people turned to YouTube, Destination Canada's ad cut through, and connected with viewers across the country, beating out competition from Apple, Google and Skip the Dishes. The award is significant praise for the engaging and creative work led by the Destination Canada team in house.
