Park Regis City Centre Sydney - great location, excellent service and value for money!

Park Regis City Centre
The best three things about staying at the Park Regis City Centre in Sydney are its location, service provided and value for money.

Location

When buying a residential property the real estate agent urges you to think about "location, location location!" The location of the Park Regis City Centre is brilliant in Sydney. It is smack bang in the centre of the CBD of Sydney and is so accessible.

I travelled down from country NSW by train for my stay at the Park Regis City Centre, so after my five hour train journey terminated at Central Station I caught a train to Town Hall Station and walked the very short distance to the hotel. It was raining, so it was good that I was undercover except when I made the one street crossing.

The central location of the Park Regis City Centre means that it is close to many restaurants, bars, cafes and shops. The Pitt Street Mall, department stores, large shopping centres and a supermarket are just a block away. A slightly longer walk takes you to all the attractions of China Town, Darling Harbour, The Rocks, Circular Quay and the Botanic Gardens.

Service

The service provided by the staff at the Park Regis City Centre was exceptional. They were all very friendly and professional in dealing with me when I was checking in and leaving. The cleaner was also friendly when I passed her in the corridor.

Value for money

The accommodation provided by the Park Regis City Centre is good value for money. Considering its exceptional location and good service provided, it is well priced for a short or longer stay for business or leisure purposes. The price is kept down because you are not paying for a fancy lobby or flash restaurants, just a good night's sleep in a comfortable room.

The Park Regis City Centre has a variety of room styles available to chose from, including Express, Premier, Executive or Park Suites. I was in a Park Suite on a corner of the 10th floor, which offered good views over the city through its windows.

Park Regis City Centre bedroom
The suite had a studio-style bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed, bedside tables and lamps, and a clock radio. There was a work desk, safe, and LCD TV on the wall, and an iron & ironing board in the wardrobe.

The sparkling bathroom had a shower, toilet, vanity basin and mirror. Shampoo, conditioner and soap were provided.

The separate living room was furnished with a double sofa bed, large flat screen LCD TV on the wall, a stereo with iPod dock. The kitchen area had tea & coffee making facilities, bar fridge, and microwave.

There was complimentary WiFi access which I used to keep in contact with family back at home. The room was kept warm on a cold winter's day with the temperature controlled air conditioner.

Park Regis City Centre rooftop pool
There is an amazing 360 degree view from the rooftop deck and swimming pool on the 45th floor. It was a miserable day for swimming, but I still took the lift up to the pool area for the wonderful view of the city and Hyde Park. There is no day spa or fitness centre at the hotel, but there are plenty nearby for those wanting to exercise or relax.

There is no restaurant or bar at the Park Regis City Centre. However they have an option for a hot or cold breakfast at The Coffee Club which is located right next door. My hot breakfast had a choice of hot dish, coffee and juice. I chose the bacon, tomato, egg and toast dish which was yummy.

Park Regis City Centre, Sydney is part of the StayWell Hospitality Group. This group has a network of 30 properties in the Asia Pacific Region with locations including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Launceston and international hotels in Singapore, Dubai, Indonesia and India.
